In these rather trying times, we have seen a blatant disregard for our fellows. This is a crying shame!

You see the truth of the matter is there is no – you vs. me. No separation, no division. We are “1” with everything under heaven.

So, let’s talk about God in this moment.

My question….

Why do we debate whether or not there is a God?

Trust me this is not a theoretical discourse of the God concept. I’m not an alarmist or sensationalist (ihatethatsh*t).

On the contrary, this is one gal’s take on God, Jesus and being right in the world!

Jesus is the Manifestation of God’s Cool

A Kirk Franklin song lyric says it just right for me…

“My desire is to please you,
To be more and more like you Jesus,
Each and every day,
I lift my hands and say,
I want to be more like God — “My Desire.”

Within each and every one of us is what I will call God. I will further assert we all possess the “fruits of the spirit – love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.” Galatians 5:22–23 (NIV).

Personal Growth & God

I read a piece on the topic of being a believer in God and Jesus. This topic resonated deeply with me, you see, I wanna be more like Jesus.

The question…. “So, am I a Christian?”

Here are my thoughts on this…. Yes, I am and use the term lightly.

I am a student and follower of many people who are/were a living example of the truth.

Like Jesus, who was Cool and the personification of the “fruits,” completely unadulterated in these assets. I desire to show less of me and more of God’s manifestation through me and live in truth.

Truth is grounded in love, peace, simplicity, and humility. These qualities represent the character of God and are something we all would want to cultivate, regardless of what we label ourselves.

Love is Truth, Period.

So, I ask … why not say yes to higher vibrations and authenticity in love, grace, joy, respect, tolerance, and kindness. Let’s take advantage of God present in the details of life.

We always have opportunities to cultivate the “fruits” of spirit present daily. Make a choice to see “we are one with everything under heaven.” This is the beauty of living right in the world.
