I’m an advocate of personal growth. 😍Duh!
I think the right growth aid is a game-changer. For this reason, I’ve chosen to offer some information about a few helpers.
Most importantly, the types are vast and can be tailored to suit a person’s preferences. How wonderful is That!
In this post, I’ll offer brief descriptions of the following:
NLP/neuro-linguistic-programming, EFT, affirmations, hypnotherapy, meditation, and more.
This list is not exhaustive but will provide a snapshot of the options out there.
Most of all, your mission should you chose to accept, is to want to know more about em’, Right?!
Okay, here’s the shortlist … “9” tools.
Originating in the 1970s, this is an interesting concept and said to be the language of the mind.
Here’s a method that involves communication, personal development, and psychotherapy.
This is especially helpful if you want to know how the brain works and its effects on what you do.
Consequently, a saying among NLP circles is — “the conscious mind is the goal setter, and the unconscious mind is the goal-getter.”
Even though there is no concrete scientific evidence that supports the claims made, the process still warrants a look-see.
Here’s a little skinny on NLP …
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – TAPPING
A form of acupressure for the psyche, its basis is a blend of traditional-ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.
EFT works to physically alter your brain, energy system, and body at the same time.
The process uses energy meridians to treat physical and emotional ailments.
The practice itself involves tapping with your fingertips on specific body points while talking through distressing memories and a wide range of emotions.
The activity is easy, simple, painless, and anyone can learn. Check it out.
An aide in growth adds value.
These gems help us to supersede negative thoughts, self-talk, and sabotage through positive, clear statements.
The statements are a way to provide emotional support and encouragement.
Most of all, affirmations are beneficial to one’s mindset, acceptance, intentions, and visualization practices.
This little helper is one of my all-time favorites. I simply love affirmations!
I use them daily because my mind can be chattier than a child on the first day of school! Whoa!
Some of my favorite affirmations come from the “Queen of Wellness,” Louise Hay.
What’s most important to know? You can always craft your own! (like beer, I digress 😊)
Anywho … if you relate to this, get your positive talk on…. louisehay
What is it?
Also known as hypnosis, this is a form of psychotherapy that produces a state of sleep or unconsciousness.
This method uses guided relaxation techniques to attain a sensitive state of awareness.
Essentially, the therapy is most commonly used to allow a person to explore often painful and suppressed feelings, emotions or memories.
The altering change in consciousness often leads to experiencing things differently beyond the hypnosis.
Also, the process can invoke feelings of intense rest, concentration, and/or focus.

Choose tools to enhance Source connection.
It only seemed appropriate to join these activities under one banner because each activity is a form of harmonious association.
The emphasis is on using one or more of these activities in concert, thus bringing mental calmness and presence into your daily space.
Your progress and process helpers are irreplaceable.
These “3 plus one” (e.g., 6, 7, 8, & 9) remaining tools are offered by any number of thought leaders in personal wellness and development.
There is an abundance of these aids to help foster growth and also enjoy the journey.
You just have to find the … e/books, courses, workshops, coach and/or mentor that feels right for you.
I cannot stress this more.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
In a nutshell, a personal development plan is a roadmap you create for action based on personal awareness, values, reflection, and intentions.
Oftentimes, this plan is constructed within the framework of your career, education, relationship or self-improvement.
This tool for development is one of the most individual and personal.
For example, its key purpose is to help improve personal performance and succeed by reaching and exceeding short and long-term intentions.
Look at it as … an ounce of prevention plan

Some People like PEANUT M & M’s
Well, lovelies, to sum it up, this list and above links are like a bag of M&M’s.
Some people like ’em with peanuts and some don’t!
Therefore, you simply have to find the M&M you like and do a test drive.
As you build your toolbox, some helpers will work for you and some will not. You have got to keep testing till you hit PAY DIRT.
Here’s to a starting point! Go Get It!
As always, chickadees! I encourage you to be curious and manage like a BOSS.
