How About a Knuckle Sammich on Wheat?!
“3” life periods and where stuff begins to get REAL in retrospect! Let me tell you once you learn and become aware, acting unaware isn’t an option.
The lesson to learn will precede, is active during, and will not end with the change.
I talked about the “1” reason for honest transformation, and it has everything to do with how ya thinking — Period.
If we want change success to stick, we have got to do an:
1) environment scan (internal and external) = Areas of Your Life
2) ask hard and sticky questions!
That is the whole idea, Growth?! RIGHT?!
Simply put, we manage the process to maximize our success.
Let’s have, what I like to call, a thinking cap conversation, and look at the “3” life periods — past, present, and future. These periods have a BIG, HUGE effect on your thinking.
Such as, what is wanted and unwanted showing up in the life environment. Look at it from a practical perspective, what is the real good you desire small and large? Is it showing Up?
I found to look at these times as objectively as possible.
The examination will aid in asking some hard and revealing questions about what’s really going on INSIDE and manifesting Outside.
You will have questions, we all do! The real good needs definition, being clear is vital.
Anywhoo, we could easily talk about each of these periods separately, and we probably will!
I invite you to take a brief look right now with me. I’m going to mention “3” books that helped me look at each of these periods with a new perspective.
I found them helpful and I hope you do too! Let’s jump into this rabbit hole….
My quick thoughts on the “3” above……
Let’s start at the heart. Clean the attic = past = forgiveness.
First and foremost, we must clean the heart house. Start in the ATTIC = your feelings.
Ultimately this means a lot of forgiveness, starting with self and the people we’re holding resentments in our hearts against.
How can I say this…? This [email protected] is TOXIC! Don’t block blessings over perceived past hurts.
Get your read on…. In the Meantime: “Finding Yourself and the Love You Want” by Iyanla VanZant (1999). It will aid in softening and morphing the heart.
Number two….is NOW! Wash the dishes = present = be mindful.
Take this to mean “2” things:
1) examine resentments
2) do what is right in front of you, now.
Even the smallest move in the direction of where you would like to be is a positive progression. Be mindful in thoughts, behaviors, words, and actions.
Don’t engage the Lolly-gag through life, it’s a Boo move! No balance, no LIFE! Simple.
We always have a choice. I’ve learned you either participate or live a L(ife) I(n) E(xcess).
This comes from a person who has been living extremely imbalanced for years!
Ask the hard questions or drift!
Dig on this read…. “Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life” by Byron Katie.
Last but not Least
How does the saying go… Trust the Process? Gas the Caaar = future
A truth if I’ve ever heard one! (uproarious laughter!!!)
Life lessons! We can make it easy and a little less challenging through trust and surrender to change.
Trust and surrender will grow you; I learned this the hard way.
Difficulties and a revolving life lesson playground will keep popping up until you get the lesson.
Which would you prefer?
The answer to this question can mean a couple of things. If yes, it’s the following actions. If no, well what can I say?!!!
Just say YES and….
- make a commitment to learn patience and calm as a practice
- celebrate gratefulness for small successes daily
- work to adopt a new perspective about what’s good right now
- fight for your best life
I promise you, this book will make you think about your active and present life commitments ….
